Celebrating Mothers at Work: A Heartwarming Mother’s Day Breakfast
The early morning sun cast a warm glow over the office as the Women of LACC trickled in, greeted by the aroma of fresh coffee and the sound of soft, cheerful music. It was a special Monday morning, set aside to honor and celebrate the incredible mothers within our workplace.
The initiative for the Mother’s Day breakfast came from our Executive Chairperson, Cllr. Alexandra Kormah Zoe who recognized the importance of acknowledging and appreciating the dual roles that our Mothers at the LACC play everyday.
It was a rare and precious opportunity for the women to step away from their workstations and share a meal together.
Our Executive Chairperson kicked off the event with a heartfelt speech, expressing gratitude for the hard work and dedication of the mothers in the room. She spoke about the invaluable contributions they make both at home and at work, highlighting stories of resilience, multitasking, and unconditional love. Her words resonated deeply, and there was smiles on the faces of our beautiful LACC women.
One of the highlights of the morning was a poem read by our very own Lela Rene Bestman celebrating mothers and describing our selfishness and the overwhelming love we have to offer.
By the time the event drew to a close, the atmosphere was filled with warmth and gratitude. It was evident that the Mother’s Day breakfast had achieved its goal: to honor the remarkable mothers in our workplace and to strengthen the bonds within our work family.
As everyone returned to their daily tasks, there was a noticeable uplift in spirits. The Mother’s Day breakfast had not only celebrated motherhood but also reminded everyone of the supportive and caring environment that we strive to maintain in our workplace. It was a morning to remember, filled with joy, appreciation, and a reaffirmed sense of community.
The Mother’s Day breakfast was a heartfelt success, showcasing the power of appreciation and the importance of celebrating the multifaceted lives of our colleagues. It served as a reminder that the workplace is not just a place of work, but also a community where every individual’s contributions and sacrifices are valued and celebrated.
