LACC Executive Chairperson Extols the Work of Interpol
Monday, September 25, 2023 – Monrovia – The Executive Chairperson of the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC) has praised the work of the International Policing Organization (INTERPOL).
Cllr. Alexandra K. Zoe made the commendation when she received a delegation from INTERPOL at her Congo Town office on Monday.
The new LACC Chairperson recounted the role of the organization in reducing crimes worldwide, stating that INTERPOL work resonates with the mandate of the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission.
Cllr. Zoe informed the team that the LACC looks forward to deepening ties with the organization’s headquarters in Lyon, France to support capacity building and sharing of intelligence on crucial matters.
The team from INTERPOL Headquarters is in Liberia for a week-long case monitoring and training for anti-corruption practitioners and law enforcement agencies.
The two man delegation, Adewale Ogundele and Richard Evina Engolo will discuss assets recovery, understanding INTERPOL notices and inivestigation of cross- border crimes.
The meeting was also attended by three of the new Commissioners; Cllr. Davis Wilson, Oretha Davis and Samuel Daklina and Executive Director, Moses Kowo.
