A Message from Cllr. Alexandra K. Zoe on International Women’s Day
On this International Women's Day, the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC) joins the world in celebrating the achievements, resilience, and contributions of women in all spheres of life.
Women play a pivotal role in promoting integrity, transparency, and accountability in governance, the fight against corruption, and the advancement of social justice. As we reflect on this year's theme, "Accelerate Action", we reaffirm our commitment to fostering a society where women are empowered, protected, and given equal opportunities to thrive.
Corruption disproportionately affects women and hinders progress toward gender equality. It is, therefore, imperative that we continue to strengthen mechanisms that safeguard women's rights, promote ethical leadership, and ensure a fair and just society for all.
We salute the courageous women who stand up for justice, those who fight against corruption, and those who inspire change in their communities.
Let us all work together to build a future where women's voices are heard, their contributions valued, and their rights fully upheld.
Happy International Women's Day!
Cllr. Alexandra K. Zoe
